Q: How do I schedule a fire inspection for a Certificate of Occupancy?

A: When obtaining a business license, the permit tech at City Hall will schedule all the needed parties to inspect your business, including the Fire Department.

Q: Will the Fire Department fill my swimming pool?

A: No, The Brunswick Fire Department does not fill swimming pools.

Q: How do i get a smoke alarm?

A: If you live within the city limits, we will install them for you free of charge. Call our Administrative Assistant, she will schedule a time for us to come install them for you. You can also come by and pick them up.

Q: Does the Fire Department install child car seats?

A: No, we are not certified to install child car seats. Georgia State Patrol can assist you with the installation.

Q: Can the Fire Department unlock my car doors ?

A: No, we do not have the necessary equipment to unlock vehicle doors. You will need to call a locksmith or wrecker service unless there is an emergency such as: Child or pet locked in vehicle.
