Municipal Court
Municipal Court is located on the first floor of the historic Old City Hall, located at 1229 Newcastle Street. The Court has jurisdiction in misdemeanor offenses, with certain statutory exceptions.
The Court also handles city traffic and ordinance violations. If you receive a citation, you may pay your fine at the Clerk of Municipal Court's office now located at 1229 Newcastle Street, Brunswick, GA 31520. Payments are accepted Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

- Pay in Person: 1229 Newcastle Street, Brunswick, GA 31520 (cash, personal checks, money orders and credit cards).
If you desire a court appearance, please appear in court on the date shown on your citation. No tee shirts, shorts, tank tops, flip flops or ripped (revealing skin) jeans or shirts are allowed in the Courtroom.
Open Records Request
Open Records Request may be received in person, by mail, or via email.
Please indicate the following information in your request:
- Your First and Last Name.
- Contact Information (phone number, email, and/or mailing address).
- Description of Records - include dates, case numbers, and other relevant information to expedite your request if known.
Once an Open Records Request is complete, they are forwarded to the City Clerk's Office for an official response. Please see the fee table below for the associated costs of Open Records:
