4th of July Recap

Well, we sure did start the month off with a bang! Despite First Friday getting rained out there was still a couple hundred people downtown. The rain held off for the festivities over the weekend and everyone seemed to enjoy  the parade, the pet parade, the axe throwing tournament, and live music from Beau and the Burners on Saturday. 

Sunday's Cornhole event was a huge success with 5 states outside of Georgia being present. Winners included : Brannon Gregory; $2000 for first in advanced, Eric cook and Hunter Claxton were runner up in an awesome final two games, giving them $1000. Hunter Yaklin and Drew Richardson were third place-winners for $500.

B-Class winners were Don Harrelson and Ron Harrelson taking home $500. In the social division, David and Turner winning $600, Jesse and Kelsey taking 2nd, 3rd was Aaron Mckinney and Will.

Heather Heath, from the Ritz Theater, brought out the Penguin Project to perform with Michaele and everyone enjoying the live music before fireworks.
