Biography

A product of Southern Arizona, Commissioner Sabbe embarked on his academic journey at the University of Arizona and the University of Phoenix, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a Major in Information Systems. This solid educational foundation laid the groundwork for his future endeavors.

In 2008, Commissioner Sabbe made a life-changing decision to relocate to Brunswick. His connection to the city deepened when his mother retired from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and he was fortunate to meet his future wife, solidifying Brunswick as his home.

A partner at h2o creative group, a local marketing, and design company, Commissioner Sabbe contributed his skills and expertise for a decade. In 2022, he took a leap to pursue the non-profit sector, showcasing his commitment to making a positive impact on the community.

As one of the founding board members and the current Executive Director of Forward Brunswick, Commissioner Sabbe is at the forefront of initiatives that enhance the quality of life for all residents. His strategic vision and hands-on approach make him an instrumental figure in shaping the future of Brunswick.

Commissioner Sabbe's commitment to community service is evident in his extensive board involvement. From serving as the Chairman of the City of Brunswick Planning & Appeals Commission to leading the SPLOST oversight committee, and contributing to both city and county comprehensive plans, he has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the community's needs.

Beyond his professional commitments, Commissioner Sabbe finds joy in his personal life. Married to his lovely wife Kate Sabbe, the couple shares their home with the delightful Sampson, their beloved dog. Together, they enjoy the outdoors and actively contribute to the preservation of their historic home in downtown Brunswick.
