The City of Brunswick is closely monitoring the impacts of the federal government shutdown on our local community. Recognizing the potential challenges residents may face, the city wants to ensure that everyone is aware of the resources available to those experiencing food insecurity.
Neighborhood and Community Services has contacted and confirmed the following active food pantries within the City of Brunswick and Glynn County. With limited resources during the government shutdown, residents are encouraged to utilize these local services as needed.
Mayor Pro Tem Kendra Rolle emphasized the importance of addressing food insecurity, stating, “Many residents in the City of Brunswick are living in a food desert, and providing access to food is essential to supporting our community.”
The city will continue to work with local providers to address this issue. Residents seeking additional information or assistance in finding local resources are encouraged to contact Neighborhood and Community Services at (912) 267-5511.
